Description

Mid-century modern window panel. Modern patchwork curtain with stained glass effect. Textile art. Reversible. Flat felled seams. 48" long x 34” wide I designed this single layer patchwork textile to be used in a window as a piece of art that also functions as a curtain. Inspired by mid-century design, I used an improv piecing approach to create this unique composition in white, black, brown, and gray. A tie dye batik in green, blue and brown adds a bit of color. The unique abstract design and sophisticated palette give this patchwork panel a distinct mid-century feel. I used flat felled seams, so that raw fabric edges are concealed on both front and back side of the textile. This special seam construction method also adds the distinct dark framing that surrounds each piece of fabric, giving the look of stained glass as light passes through. The curtain provides complete privacy while still allowing light to be filtered through to the room. Dimensions: 34 inches wide, 48 inches long. The 48 inch length includes a 3 inch rod pocket at the top. You can use a spring tension rod, dowel or standard curtain rod for hanging. Care: Machine wash and dry. Iron to remove wrinkles.
